KATY GEISSERT CIVIC CENTER LIBRARY OPEN 

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2012 | 1 PM - 5 PM

3301 TORRANCE BLVD 

Book lovers and library goers rejoice! The Katy Geissert Civic Center Library will be open on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 1 PM to 5 PM. 

HENDERSON LIBRARY CLOSED

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2012 | ALL DAY

3301 TORRANCE BLVD 

The Henderson Library is closed for construction beginning September 24, 2012. The closure is anticipated to last about three months. Materials may be returned in the outside drops, or at any other Torrance Library. For more information, please contact Library Administration at 310-618-5950.

HOLIDAY STUFF-A-BUS 2012

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12 - WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2012

VARIOUS LOCATIONS

The Torrance Unified School District and the Torrance Transit presents the program "Stuff-A-Bus". The goal is to literally stuff a Torrance Transit bus with as many toys, gift certificates, and cash as possible. The items will all be given out to Torrance families in need determined by the appropriate agencies. To help make a difference in the lives of less fortunate families this Holiday season, please donate to collection bins.

  

Locations open to the public include:

- West Annex Lobby

- Civic Center Lobby

- Torrance Community Credit Union Lobby

  

A bus will also be parked at Del Amo Fashion Center for those shopping on November 23rd. It will be located along the front of the parking lot directly across from the main entrance of the outdoor Lifestyle Wing from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

 

DEADLINE FOR DONATIONS: December 12, 2012 at 5 p.m.

43RD ANNUAL HOLIDAY ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR

TORRANCE CULTURAL ARTS CENTER

Over 75 local independent craftsmen will be selling their handmade items. Shop for one-of-a-kind gifts at this two-day event. Check out our Opportunity Drawing and Make It and Take It table for the kids. Proceeds from this event provide scholarships to graduating seniors in the Torrance Unified School District. BRINGING STORIES WRITTEN BY CHILDREN TO LIFE

Using stories submitted by children, the Story Pirates create outlandishly funny sketches and mini-musicals that leave kids and their parents howling in the aisles! Whether it's following the adventures of a superhero baby, or reminiscing about disposable rain ponchos at a baseball game, the songs and stories explode with the creative energy that only a child could possess. 33RD ANNUAL TURKEY TROT 3 MILE FUN RUN
