Welcome to Our Library's Newsletter!
June is Food 4 Fines month!
Get $2 forgiven from overdue fines for each non-perishable, non-expired food item. The fee for replacing a lost library card will also be waived by Food 4 Fines, as long as personal identification (like a driver's license) is shown.  Charges for lost or damaged items cannot be cleared by this method.  All donated food will go to the Waushara County Food Pantry.
Summer Reading Program

Thursday Events
  • Nickey Fynn World Renowned Magician: June 9 at 4:15 p.m.
  • Jennifer Culver, Yoga "Stretching to Stories":  June 16 at 3 p.m.
  • Aves Wildlife Alliance Bird Rescue: June 23 at 4 p.m.
  • Games Galore: June 30 at 3 p.m.  UW-Extension led.
  • Truly Remarkable Loon, Juggling: July 7 at 4:30 p.m.
  • Gigantic Game Day!: At the WW2 Museum, July 14 at 3 p.m.
Reading incentive program is for children 12 and under. Small prizes will be awarded each week simply for reading or being read to.

Teens and adults can participate in their own reading challenge by filling out reader recommendation cards and entering in a weekly drawing!

Cancer Clear and Simple
When: Wednesdays June 15th and June 22nd from 2:00 to 4:00 pm 
Where: Demo Room, Waushara County Courthouse, 209 S. Saint Marie St, Wautoma

Cancer Clear and Simple is a free educational series which includes:
  • Understanding Cancer Basics and Cancer Prevention - June 15
  • Cancer Self-Care, Screening & Detection - June 22
This program is a partnership between UW-Extension and UW-Carbone Cancer Center
 
Friends of the Library Meeting
The Friends of the Wautoma Library will be holding their spring meeting on Wednesday June 15th at 2pm.  Items to be discussed include the Library Wish List, the Taste of Wautoma Silent Auction, and the Augustfest Book and Bake Sale.  Friends of the Library make a real difference.  Funds raised by the Friends help the library pay for special projects like seed saving and special items like the e-readers and tablets and special programs like the Summer Reading program.  Friends also raise awareness about library services and programs spreading the word about the wonderful resource the library is and encouraging people to take advantage of it.  New members are always welcome.  Please join us.
Cooking for 1 or 2


Join us on Thursday, June 16th at 5:30 p.m. for a presentation about cooking in smaller portions. Please sign up at the front desk.

Creative Time
Join us the 1st Thursday of every month at 10:30 am. Bring your current art or craft project  and work in a supportive, friendly atmosphere with other artist
