Newsletter - Heatwave Edition

Greetings!

Heat index over 100? Check. Plants and patrons wilting before our very eyes? Check. Must be July in Wisconsin! Fortunately, the library is the coolest place in town.

On these dangerously hot days, the library's air conditioning is not only comfortable, it can be health-preserving. Add in the books, movies, programs, and drop-in activities we offer and I can't think of a better place to escape the heatwave. And if you know of anyone who needs a safe place to cool down during the heat of the day, please send them our way.

Whether your tastes run from Merlin to Mad Men, LEGO club to linguine, we've got you covered. The young ones still have plenty of time to earn rewards in the summer reading program. Everyone will enjoy the Great Scott Magical Archaeology Adventure program coming up on July 30th. There's always a jigsaw puzzle going, a chess set waiting for players, and the world at your fingertips when you sit down at one of the library computers.

Many of these special programs and fun things to do are made possible by the Friends of the Caestecker Library and the Caestecker Library Foundation. Both groups raise money specifically to make this library a vibrant (and vital) community treasure. Interested in joining or donating? Drop me a line.

Stay cool -

Linda DeNell, Director

Zoozort - Noelle's wildlife education program - was so popular last summer that we asked her to come back this year with more furry (and scaly, maybe even feathered) friends. Children learn about and interact with some of the most engaging wild critters on the planet. Join us at 10:00 a.m. for an opportunity to get up close and personal with some wild library guests.
