UW-Extension Fall Tree Planting and Tree Care Tips Workshop

 

On Monday Night, October 15 at 6pm, come and listen to a presentation given by staff of the UW-Extension office on the planting of and caring for trees.


This event is a kick-off event to the tree-planting party that the Vil
lage will host October 19 and 20. 


Whether you're interested in volunteering to plant trees in the Village or would like to learn more about successfully raising trees in your own yard, come and learn all about it!

If you're interested in volunteering to help the Village of Winneconne plant the trees they received in a grant, you can volunteer by contacting the library at 582-7091.

This event is free to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Hooks N Needles

 

If You've got an interest in crafting, no matter what your skill level is, and you'd like to get together with others who have similar interests, then come to the craft club for adults at the Winneconne Public Library!

The Fall 2012 meeting schedule is every other Tuesday from 3:30 - 5:30pm.

Adult Book Club
Book club meets every fourth Monday of the month at 6pm. A different title is discussed each month. Bring a friend!

Paws 4 Reading Lilly the Highland Terrier

 

Reading is fun when you read with a therapy dog! At the library, elementary-age students can read to Maya the Pug, Lilly the white Highland Terrier, or Prince the Golden Retriever.  Be on time for your appointment and you can  register to win a Webkinz to match the  canine reading buddy of your choice! Please call to schedule an appointment, 582-7091.

 

 

magicshow Halloween Magic Show

  

Join the Friends of the Winneconne Public Library in welcoming the Amazing Daryl to perform magic tricks at the Halloween Magic Show! The program will start off with after school snacks and crafts, followed by a Halloween story and surprise! The Amazing Daryl will begin his performance at 4:15 and end around 5pm!

Families in attendance can pick up a coupon for a special discount to eat out at the Pub Smokehouse when the program finishes up!

Storytimes are for families and children in preschool and younger. Sessions feature songs, fingerplays, stories and activities that are fun and engaging. No need to register. Just come on in!


 

 

Toddler Time
 
toddlertime Get your little ones excited about reading by bringing the to Toddler Time, offered every Monday morning at 10am. Children listen to brief stories, fingerplays and songs, then have time to play and socialize with other toddlers! Great fun for tiny tots and their caregivers.
