Mr. Meeks's AP Government classes made visual representations 
of the Bill of Rights.
Constitutional Convention Simulation
Mr. Smith's class completed a simulation showing the difficulty 
of compromise at the Constitutional Convention.
JROTC in Training



JROTC cadets train for upcoming Raider competitions which begin 
September 24th. The event they are practicing for above is 
the Tire Flip in which half of the team must flip the tire 50 yards 
and the other half of the team must flip it back 50 yards. 
The team with the fastest time wins the event.

Senior Recognition Ads
Senior Recognition Ads are on sale until November 4th These ads for seniors normally sell out before the deadline. These ads are designed for those who wish to congratulate their graduating seniors with a personal message and photographs in the MPHS yearbook.  Ads are sold in 3 sizes:  full page ($250), page ($135), and page ($75). If you are interested in buying a Senior Recognition Ad (often called "Baby Ads"), complete the form and return to Mrs. May at MPHS with pictures, message, and money before November 4th

PSAT Administration

The PSAT will be given at MPHS on  Wednesday, October 19th.  All 10th graders will take this exam for free.  Any 9th or 11th graders that would like to test will need to register with their counselor.  The cost is $16. 
The deadline to register is THIS Friday, September 16th.

Football News

Mary Persons beat Forest Park 45-0. Mary Persons rushed for 296 yards and four touchdowns with nine ball carriers, none getting more than eight attempts. Quen Wilson, Zach Harvey, Nate Caslin, Jatori Sims, Tre Slaton, and Jomari Jackson all scored touchdowns.. Twenty-two players were credited with at least one tackle. The Bulldogs travel to Peach County on Friday.  Game time is 8:00 pm.
Softball News

The Lady Bulldogs beat Howard 9-0 in last week's region match-up. Megan Bell pitched for the whole game with 7 strikeouts and only allowing 3 hits. Offensively Allyssah Mullis and Lori Smith went 2-4 and Jordan Rozier went 1-2. 

MP beat Spalding 9-0 behind Megan Bell's pitching. Megan had no hitter with 7 strikeouts. Alexis Passmore and Megan Bell went 1-2 at the plate. Destiny Middleton went  and Allyssah Mullis went 1-3 with a 3 run homer by Allyssah in the 4th. The Bulldogs are 4-0 in the region and 8-4 in the season.
