This week's spotlight is on Mr. Robby Jones.  Mr. Jones graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelors in Management. He earned his masters degree and his specialist degree from Georgia College and State University. He has been teaching for 10 years. He said he was encouraged to become a teacher by his Spanish I teacher, Senor Shellhorse in college. "He was very passionate and professional. Besides teaching, he has also managed a ski rental shop in Vail, Colorado.  When asked what he likes best about his job, he said "I enjoy helping others learn new things and working with young people. One of his favorite memories from his high school years was "watching the Dream Team during the '96 Olypmics in Atlanta."

His hobbies include hiking the Appalachian Trail, and snowskiing.  When asked about interesting places that he has traveled he said "The most interesting place I traveled was to Cairo, Egypt. The pyramids are massive and the museums and culture are intriguing."  His favorite book is A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson, or anything by Jon Krakauer or Tim Keller. His favorite role model is his dad. "He taught me how to be a husband, father, coach, and teacher."  He has been married to his college sweetheart, Cortney, for 10 years, and they have 4 children:  Lucy (8), Scout (6), Eli (4), and Pete (1).  His bucket list" includes "hiking the entire Appalachian Trail, attending the World Cup, and biking the Blue Ridge Parkway."
