Georgia Parent Survey

The Georgia Parent Survey is also modeled after the student survey and contains 24 questions.  Parents will be able to complete the survey using their personal computers, smartphones or iPads.  For parents not having access to the Internet, please consider scheduling a date and time to complete the Georgia Parent Survey at school.  Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis.  Data results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online.  Please click here to access the survey. The URL address for the Georgia Parent Survey is http://apps.gadoe.org/schoolclimate/parents.nsf/Survey.xsp. The survey may also be accessed from our school's homepage.

MP Teacher Spotlight
This week's spotlight is on Mr. Greg Nix. Mr. Nix received his bachelors in Social Studies and Secondary Education from Jacksonville State University, and his masters in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University.  He has been teaching for 28 years. When asked what/who inspired him to become a teacher, he said "my mom and dad were both educators". What he likes best about his job is being "a part of my students and players lives while they are still developing academically and athletically."

In his spare time, Mr. Nix enjoys golf, home improvement, and yard work.  His favorite travels have been to New York, NY and Washington D.C.  His favorite books include The Traveler's Gift, The Noticer, The Noticer Returns, and The Heart Mender, all by Andy Andrews.  He also likes Bill O'Reilly's Killing Lincoln and  Killing Kennedy.  His favorite sport is basketball, and his favorite team is Alabama Crimson Tide football. His favorite role models have been his mother (Carolyn Nix), and his grandmother (Gladys Bolt).  Other role models have been men such as Windell Nix, Q. K. Carter, Jack Mayo, and Larry Stokes.  His "bucket list" includes "travel throughout the U.S., play golf on famous courses throughout the U.S., and impact his future grandchildren.
