MP Teacher Spotlight
This week's spotlight is on Mr. Clint Ashmore. Mr. Ashmore received his bachelors in Education from Georgia Southwestern College.  He received his masters and his specialist from Georgia College and State University.  He has been teaching for 27 years. He was inspired to become a teacher by his college football coach at Georgia Southwestern, Jimmy Hightower.  When asked what he enjoys most about his job, he said "the interactions and relationships with students and colleagues."  His favorite memory from his own high school years is when he was named MVP of the Forest Park High School Track Team in 1981.  His role model is his dad, Eddie Ashmore.

Coach Ashmore's hobbies include reading, playing golf, weightlifting, and playing the guitar.  His favorite role model is his dad, Eddie Ashmore. When asked what his favorite book is, he said "Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbon, and just about anything by Cormac McCarthy." An interesting place he has traveld to was when he worked for a year in a small high school (of about 150 students) in Rangely, Colorado.  When asked what is on his "bucket list", he said "I try to live my "bucket list" daily."

Art students created a Linear Perspective Collage (below).  They created a background collage with three to four dominant colors using magazine images.  They cut the images into strips and mixed them up to create a collaged background surface, then painted a cardboard one-point perspective design with colors pulled from the collage.  The cardboard design was then glued to the collage surface.  The resulting design demonstrates mastery of perspective techniques as well as unity in color.
