MP Teacher Spotlight
This week's spotlight is on Mrs. Christie Johnston. Mrs. Johnston received her B.A. in Special Education from Mercer University, and her masters in Reading from Georgia Southern University.  She has been teaching for 13 years. She said that her high school science teacher, Ms. Susan Lee, inspired her to become a teacher. When asked about her favorite memories of her own high school days, she said "pep rallies & football games." When asked what she likes most about her job she said "building relationships with the students."

Her hobbies include reading and watching sports.  Her favorite book series is Harry Potter, and she likes anything by Pat Conroy. Her favorite city in the United States is Chicago.  She said she "loves the river flowing through the city, the gardens, and the architecture, and the food is not bad either."

When asked about her favorite sport and sports team, she said "MP Bulldog Football, of course!" When asked who her favorite role model is, she said "My parents - they are the most kind, generous, and godly people I know."  Two items on her "bucket list" are to see the Grand Canyon, and to go to Italy.
