MP Teacher Spotlight
This week's spotlight is on Mr. Steve Herr. Coach Herr graduated with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. He has been a teacher for 25 years, and was inspired to become a teacher by his friends. Besides being an educator, he has worked in steel construction. When asked what he liked most about his job he said "helping students to achieve what they thought they couldn't" His favorite memories from high school are Saturday afternoon football games.
Interesting places that Coach Herr has visited are California, New Me xico, and the Bahamas. His favorite book is Poland by James Michener. His favorite sport is football, Georgia & Penn State. The 3 items he has on his "bucket list" are to travel across the country on a Harley Davidson, to travel to Europe, and visit the Grand Canyon.

Senior Homecoming Project
During Homecoming Week the Senior Class will be sponsoring a canned food drive which will be a class competition and the winning class will be recognized at the pep rally. Students will be asked to bring canned goods and drop them off either in their class sponsors' classrooms (Bazemore-12; Carter-11; Gassett-10; Estes-9) or in the class's drop box in the Media Center. This event is replacing the canned food drive the seniors usually do along with the toy drive so we can focus on toys only at that time.
