MP Teacher Spotlight
This week's spotlight is on Ms. Natalie Estes.
Ms. Estes graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelors in Science and from Western Governors University with a Masters in Secondary Science Education.  She has been a teacher for 9 years, and was inspired to become a teacher by some of her former teachers (Ms. Burkhalter - her elementary Project SOAR teacher, Mrs. Quinn - her 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Anderson - her middle school Project SOAR teacher, Mr. Jones - her 9th grade World History teacher, and by her grandparents who were teachers.  When asked what she liked most about her job she said "getting to know students and helping them understand science, and coaching soccer".  In her spare time she enjoys reading, gardening, baking, and traveling.  Some of her favorite memories from her own high school days were Academic Team & Debate Team trips, soccer games, and cross country meets.

In the past Ms. Estes has traveled to Australia, England, Mexico, France, Belize, Canada, and to several Caribbean Islands.  She will be going to Italy, Greece and Turkey in June of 2015.  Her favorite book is Tarzan of the Apes.  She enjoys watching the UGA Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves, and she likes playing and coaching soccer.  Her dad is her favorite role model.  Three items on her "bucket list" are:  1. to visit the Vatican, 2. to read through all of the classics, and 3. to visit New York City.
