Georgia Budget and Policy Institute Release School Budgeting Report
null

Until now information on education funding has been hard to find and scattered across multiple state databanks. That makes it difficult to identify statewide funding trends. Even gathering data on local and state funding for a particular district is challenging unless you know where to look.

Getting a handle on the overall financial health of Georgia's school districts just got easier today with the release of the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute's latest report, The Schoolhouse Squeeze. The report traces the combined loss of state and local funds that Georgia's 180 school districts are grappling with today. Of course, Georgia's teachers and students are left to shoulder much of the fallout from those financial challenges.  To read the one page summary of the report, click here.
