This message is to share with you several important announcements regarding school calendar dates.
NO EARLY RELEASE ON FEBRUARY 28, 2013
At the December meeting, the Board of Education voted to change the February 28, 2013 early release day to be a full day for students with Parent/Teacher Conferences scheduled from 4 PM to 7 PM.
2013-2014 CALENDAR INPUT REQUESTED
The Board of Education will adopt the 2013-2014 school calendar at their January meeting. Creating a calendar that meets instructional needs while accommodating the preferences of all of our stakeholders is a challenge in good economic times, but with budget concerns taken into consideration, a calendar must be built that maximizes instructional time while conserving costs for energy, transportation, and physical plant operations.
Please take a few minutes to respond to a survey online that will help the Board of Education make decisions about the 2013-2014 school year calendar. You'll find the survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WF3YZSK. It is set to close at 5:00 pm on December 20, 2012.
At the January Board of Education meeting, members will consider input and will vote on the school calendar for 2013-2014. The meeting will be January 8, 2013 at 7 p.m.
