...the nature of water is soft and that of stone is hard. But if a bottle is hung above the stone, allowing the water to fall drop-by-drop, it wears away even the hardest stone.
So it is with the word of God. It is soft, and our heart is very hard. But the man who hears the word of God opens his heart to the fear of the Lord.
Abba Poeman Saying 183
"I'll give you a new heart, put a new spirit in you. I'll remove the stone heart from your body and replace it with a heart that's God-willed , not self-willed. " Ezekiel 36:26 The Message

CALLING
THE WELCOMING PRAYER
with Mary Dwyer
August 13, 2016
Practicing the Welcoming Prayer
offers us the opportunity to make choices--
responding instead of reacting
to the present moment. Through the action of the Holy Spirit, the practice empowers us to take appropriate action as freely and lovingly as possible in any situation that presents itself.
