CONTEMPLATION

Father Thomas Keating encourages us to join a centering prayer group because

...it encourages the members of the group to persevere in their individual practices
...it provides an opportunity for further input on a regular basis through tapes, readings, and discussions
...it offers an opportunity to support & share the spiritual journey

CALLING

JOIN A WEEKLY CENTERING PRAYER GROUP

This New Year, are you seeking opportunities to pray with committed practitioners and/or to increase your prayer times by gathering with others in community? Throughout the week, our Centering Prayer Groups meet at various churches, both morning and evenings.

We extend a warm welcome to our two newest prayer groups who meet Tuesday and Thursday at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church.

A detailed list of our Chapter's Centering Prayer groups will be sent in a separate document and/or check out the website at

"A retreat once a year would deepen your daily practice, especially if the retreat is long enough, like five or preferably eight full days..."
Father Thomas Keating
The Daily Reader for Contemplative Living, p. 58

Retreats offer opportunity
...to take one's relationship with God and one's prayer practice deeper.
... to have time and space away from the busyness and demands of daily life.
...to allow the mind, body, and spirit to surrender to God's presence and action within.
...to provide a valuable tool to aid one's interior transformation in Christ.
