CONSIDERATION
COPNS sends gratitude to St. Christopher's Episcopal Church for hosting the Visioning Day on June 13, 2015.
This day provided an opportunity to gather for the Eucharist, to pray, to celebrate the history of the chapter and to be voices in forming our future.

A Still Place in the Market
"Be still and acknowledge that I am God"
Psalm 48:10
These are words to take with us in our busy lives. We may think about stillness in contrast to our noisy world. But perhaps we can go further and keep an inner stillness even while we carry on business, teach, work in construction, make music, or organize meetings. It is important to keep a still place in the "marketplace." This still place is where God can dwell and speak to us. It also is the place from where we can speak in a healing way to all the people we meet in our busy days. Without that still space we start spinning. We become driven people, running all over the place without much direction. But with that stillness God can be our gentle guide in everything we think, say or do.

CALLING
Centering Prayer Introductory Workshop
September 19, 2015 9 am - 12:30 pm Christ Church 18 W. Wright St. Pensacola
Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer in which we experience God's presence within us. The Introduction & five Continuing Sessions (Mondays, 5:30 pm - 7 pm) support a daily practice as taught by Father Thomas Keating.
Eight-Day Intensive and Post-Intensive
Centering Prayer Retreat
Camp Beckwith
Fairhope, AL
Retreats are a way to take one's relationship with God and one's prayer practice deeper. Retreats offer time and space away from the busyness and demands of daily life, and allow the mind, body, and spirit to surrender to God's presence and action within. Retreats are a common practice in many spiritual traditions and are a valuable tool to aid one's interior transformation in Christ. Details & registration available September 1
