CONTINUING

Our relationship with the living Christ is
the bond uniting us together in mutual love.
Theological Principle # 8

So that they may all be one; just as You, Father, are in me and I in you, may they also be one in us.
John 17: 21

CONCERN

Do you enjoy working with numbers, keeping financial records?  Are you looking for a place to serve?  IF SO, CONWF NEEDS YOU!

There is a need for a

FINANCIAL SECRETARY/ BOOKKEEPER

who can help with the financial matters of the group.  Qualifications include a knowledge of Quick Books and basic accounting procedures.  If you can assist with this, please contact Carol Lewis , CONWF coordinator at _CL2LEWIS@COX.NET or   850-572-0967..

CONTEMPLATION

Reserve your sacred word for use only during the prayer time and do not use it throughout the day. During the day, the active prayer sentence is an excellent way and a gentle reminder that we are walking in the presence of the Lord in the land of the living. Some examples of active prayer might be "Oh God, come to my assistance"; "Lord have mercy"; "My Lord and my God"; or other short prayers or excerpts from scripture. Or you can use any phrase that keeps God close in your mind and heart.

A Message from Carol Lewis

Many of us come together in weekly support groups to share the experience, wisdom & struggles of our spiritual journey.  This is also a place to continue our contemplative education.  This new section will be a place to share ideas, support and encouragement.
Many groups follow the practice of reading a book in community.  Joyce Elder, an experienced facilitator in Tallahassee, has shared with us about her group's participation in this practice.  Here are the positive reactions from two of the members:

"... several nuances of centering prayer meditation were opened up to me through the process of faith- sharing within the group. "

"...a rich and rewarding experience...a deeper understanding of the basic tenets of centering prayer &  increased spiritual bonding among group members" .
