Flight Tech Committee gathers in Minneapolis this week

Endeavor Air hosts the RAA Flight Technology Committee meeting this week in Minneapolis with Chair Captain Perry Solmonson of Horizon Air; Captain Chad Tarara of Endeavor; and RAA Senior Vice President-Operations & Safety Scott Foose leading the discussion on a number of key operational issues. Topics include: pilot supply; weather radar training best practices; and approach flight path data collection.

IATA Panel: Aviation Skills Shortage-Fact or Fiction?

Sharing real-life examples of how the shortage of pilots is affecting regional airlines today in numerous US communities, RAA President Roger Cohen participated in a panel discussion at the 70th IATA Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit held in Doha, June 1-3, 2014. Joining Cohen with their perspectives were Airports Council International Director General Angela Gittens, Bombardier Aerospace President & CEO Guy Hachey and Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore Director General Ong Heng Yap.

2014 Inflight, HR, and Drug & Alcohol Seminars- Join us August 3-6th in St. Pete Beach!

The Regional Airline Association organizes the Summer Seminars to meet the educational needs of our member airlines. Our seminars are open to suppliers and non-member airlines as well. This year, the event includes three professional streams that will provide subject matter expert briefings, peer discussions and incredibly valuable networking opportunities that are essential to keep new and veteran management up to date on the latest legal guidelines and best practices in the areas of Human Resources, Inflight/Cabin Services and Drug & Alcohol Testing programs.

In 2014, St. Pete Beach is where the airline industry's Inflight, Human Resources and Drug & Alcohol Testing Program leaders will meet.
