This month, we tell you how you can heat up your love life with exercise and aphrodisiac foods! No longer will February be a time you just get through, but one of...well, whatever you desire. Students, remember that March 14th is our Annual Student Recital & 6 Year Anniversary Party! Please sign up today for a solo or group routine. Enhance Your Sexual Health with Exercise!
Sure, we've stressed how exercise can boost self-confidence--and that might be just enough to put the oo's, ah's, and oh my's back in the bedroom--but it does so much more your sexual health. Physical fitness is almost the complete package when you want to improve your libido and sexual experience, with everything from your hormones to your flexibility.
Exercise stimulates your endocannabinoid system. What is that? Brain receptors responsible for pain-sensation, mood, memory, and appetite. When we exercise, we are producing endocannabinoids and they make us feel good. This mood elevator along with improved body image, that comes with regular workouts, can have you feeling extra sexy in no time at all!
Physically, your body is improving its cardio endurance, strength, balance, and flexibility--assuming you are taking a variety of our classes. If you don't, we highly recommend you do. With all of those elements, you can try more challenging sexual positions, hold yourself in them longer, and have more energy for a long escapade--think of the extra calories you'll burn as you do!
Poor circulation can reduce your body's arousal response. Blood flow to the genitals is vital for lubrication and that tingly sensation when you're excited. With regular workouts, improved circulation means a faster arousal and can reduce some of the issues of vaginal dryness that arrives with age and menopause.
In addition to making menopause easier, it balances out hormones like cortisol. Those levels rise every time you're stressed and left alone can cause weight gain or make weight loss difficult. It is also much harder to have sensual thoughts when all you can think about is the crappy day at work you had or the tantrums your kids threw. Exercise allows you some "me time" to release all of those troubles, allowing you to relax and enjoy your partner, making you a better lover.
Exercising with your partner can create a closeness you may not have experienced yet. Enjoying a shared activity, means you learn more about each other, how to rely on each other, and motivate each other. And a little friendly competition doesn't hurt either. You can create sexy rewards for reaching goals or for outperforming the other. So what isn't to love? It's time to put on the sports bra and reconnect with your body!

PoleTRICKS SPIN Returns!
Catch some centrifugal force in PoleTRICKS SPIN! This 55 minute class teaches tricks, transitions, & skills that will challenge your entire body on the SPINNING POLE. Get technical breakdowns, demos, spotting assistance, and feedback of pole spins, climbs, inverts, and combos. ONE PERSON PER POLE...LIMIT 10 Participants. We will progress each individual based on their abilities. We recommend you take at least (4) PoleTRICKS type classes and feel comfortable with basic spins and climbing. Private Group Classes can be at any level and scheduled with a minimum of 4 people...Call for details .
PoleTRICKS SPIN held on the 4th Sunday of every month @ noon instead of PoleTRICKS in Madison Heights.

Host a Singles Party!
Valentine's Day doesn't have to be about couples only. You can host a singles party to rival any overpriced dinner for two. Invites should be simple and email based, without an RSVP date and expect last minute responses, especially around this time.
Keep the atmosphere casual and festive, but stay away from reds and pinks--anything Valentine related. People will more likely show up to a winter luau theme, because there is less pressure for a love connection. Relaxed guests will have a more positive experience and be more personable. Provide a buffet of small bites and avoid sauce covered foods. With lots of handshaking, sticky fingers and mouths make for awkward greetings.
You will know your guests best, so don't plan games like charades for those who prefer dancing. To break the ice, a simple trivia game can get conversations rolling. Have guests fill out a short questionnaire asking things like, where was the most exotic place they'd been, then have people guess who answered what. And if your party ends up lopsided or no one seems to connect, shift the party to a singles celebration. It might make some feel better if they've been seeing their status as a prison sentence.

Stimulate Your Senses with Aphrodisiac Foods
We've all heard that chocolate and oysters are considered aphrodisiacs; chocolate creates short-lasting, amphetamine-like chemical response and the zinc in oysters boosts testosterone levels, therefore, increasing sex drive. Other foods are considered to do the same simply by their shape like figs, avocados, and bananas. Even the smells of foods and their tastes are arousing in their own way. Think of your favorite meals and the pleasure that comes over you when they reach your senses. Testosterone is only one of the sex drive-boosting hormones and yes, women produce it too, just not very much. When we age, our hormone productions lower, such as entering menopause. To give your libido a kick, along with zinc, magnesium keeps testosterone from binding to proteins and keeps it in the bloodstream. Foods high in magnesium include: avocados, nuts, soybeans, bananas, dark chocolate, fish, and low-fat yogurt. Other foods improves circulation. 3 Minute FIT:
Squats, Power Side Lunges, & Biceps
This is the first of our 3 Minute FIT videos. Each will contain 1 minute of legs, 1 minute of cardio, and 1 minute of upper body exercises that you can do as the video plays. (You will need hand weights or exercise band for the bicep curls.) Repeat the video 3 times for a 9 minute workout to burn calories, improve cardio endurance, and build strength. Combining all three, and our Warm-Up & Stretch video, will give you a highly effective 30 minute+ full-body workout. Great for when you're short on time!
Lazy Stripper Spin Tutorial
The Lazy Stripper Spin is a graceful "fall" to the floor. It's excellent for beginners and adds sexiness to any routine. Demonstrated in this video are two ways you can begin the move, either by walking into it or pirouetting. Enjoy!

Can you believe it's been 6 years since we opened our doors and brought our Unique, Fun & Effective Fitness Program to Metro Detroit! It's time to CELEBRATE! We will be pairing this celebration with our Annual Student Recital. If competing isn't for you, but you'd like to showcase your talent, consider performing for our Annual Student Recital Saturday, March 14th 5 - 7pm in Madison Hts. We plan to showcase Individual Routines, Group Routines, and Doubles...Pole & Aerial! Let us know if you are interested in being part of the show! Group routine content will be taught in part of PoleTRICKS and PoleFIT Classes and we will offer ShowFIT in FEB/MARCH to help with individual routines and Group Routine rehearsals.
