Director's Update
Dear Husky Families,
We had a wonderful New Family Brunch this Saturday and we are very excited to welcome our new Huskies!  Thank you to all of the current parents who donated and prepared delicious treats for our incoming families!  And a huge shout out to the 30 student leaders that came to embrace the Class of 2019!

CEO of Healthy Is The New Skinny Visits Summit Prep!
We would like to shout out Julissa Cruz-Gutierrez (11th grader) for her student leadership and initiative to educate our female community on how to manage body image issues and the media.  Julissa demonstrated respect, responsibility, compassion, and above all, courage, by bringing this issue to the forefront with our students.  She secured a visit from Katie H. Willcox, CEO of Natural Model Management and Founder of "Healthy is the New Skinny" in Los Angeles.  This past Friday, Katie came to speak with our female students about image and the media. This was a profound experience for many of our students, and we are grateful for Julissa's courage.  Here's Julissa with the speaker team:

Young Dreamer's Network

The Young Dreamer Network is hosting our 2nd Annual Summit Prep Talent Show on June 5 at 4pm! As a part of this huge fundraiser, the Young Dreamers are having a raffle with numerous prizes to help raise money for our summer trips and our Network in general. This fundraiser is a major source of funding for our Young Dreamers that are working hard to earn their way to participate in service programs abroad this summer. We would greatly appreciate any raffle prize donations that our Summit parents can offer, or any donation in general to our Talent Show!

Last year, through parent donations, we graciously received numerous prizes such as gift cards from Visa, Target, and Starbucks, Jambox speakers, a GoPro camera, an iPad Mini, picnic baskets, and more! With your support, our Talent Show will be very successful. If you can contribute any donation towards our raffle prizes or our fundraising in general, please feel free to drop off any donations clearly labeled: "Young Dreamer Network, Ms. Ching" to Ms. Zamora at the front desk, or write a check out to the Young Dreamer Network. We greatly appreciate it!
