Director's Note
Dear Husky Families,

We would like to thank the 30 families who have contributed to our annual campaign so far!  Together, these 30 families have raised a total of $22,000!  We would like to remind everyone that our first fundraising benchmark towards $175,000 is November 15th.  All families who contribute before this date will be exempt from our November 19th phone call campaign.  We hope to have 100% of our families contribute this year.  Every dollar counts!

Please go out and vote this Tuesday!  Every vote counts!
The General Election coming up on Tuesday, November 4 includes a critical race for the State Superintendent of Public Instruction (SPI). We need an experienced and visionary leader elected as SPI who will put all students first!  The most recent field poll results show that the race is tied, with a large percentage of voters (44%) still undecided. Every vote counts so we encourage you to get to know the candidates and vote!

The Importance of Attending School Every Single Day
This past Friday, our attendance did not meet our goal of 98%.  We are concerned for the students who are now off-track as a result of being absent, and we would like to remind all families how absences negatively impact students and the livelihood of our school.  We expect to have 98% of our students attend school every single day unless they are contagiously ill or have a family emergency.  Each student absence results in the loss of precious resources that are directly used to provide a high quality education for all of our students.  We hope that we can rely on our parent community to uphold our values and respect the time that each teacher/mentor/administrator invests in our children.  We cannot afford to have our attendance fall far below 98% again, and we ask for your support.

p1Summit/Everest Parent Education Night on Grades in the PLP this Thursday, 7pm @ Summit
This Thursday, we will be holding a Parent Education Night on how to use the PLP to understand student grades.  We hope you will join our Summit and Everest parents to learn more about how to best support students at home!

Thank you!
Penelope and Wren
