Executive Director's Message
|
This week marks the start of our first Expedition! School begins and ends at the regular time, and all students will spend the first hour in teacher office hours.
We would appreciate your support in helping our students practice timeliness as a habit of success and arrive promptly at 8:15 a.m. each day. Our goal is to maintain a positive learning environment for all students at all times, and encourage the appropriate behaviors that successful students exhibit consistently. Our collaboration will help our students rapidly learn the importance of being punctual, and lead to an improved learning environment for other students and teachers.
First Open House for 8th Grade Families this Wednesday
Our recruitment season officially opens this Wednesday! Please invite all friends and family members to learn more about the Summit/Everest student experience. Sign-ups to attend an Open House are not necessary. Shadow day sign-ups will be available at each Open House event.
Please remember to complete our parent survey!
At the end of last year, we launched a parent survey to help us enrich the experience of both our students and parents. We read and considered every single piece of feedback, and many suggestions helped inform enhancements to the Summit experience.
We have launched our 2014-2015 parent survey and would love to hear your thoughts on how we are doing, as well as any suggestions and additional feedback.
Thank you!
Penelope and Wren

College TestingAn optional PSAT is being held Saturday, October 18 at Summit Prep. All 10th and 11th grade students signed up for the test should arrive at 7:45 a.m. and will finish at approximately 11:30 p.m.
On the morning of Friday, October 24, all 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will take the EPAS, a practice version of the ACT. This test is free of charge and be excellent practice for the ACT.
College Testing Resources If you have 2013/2014/2015 copies of test prep books you would like to donate, we could really use them. We are seeking lovingly used PSAT, ACT or SAT prep books. We would love to receive AP or SAT Subject Matter books on any topic. At the school entrance there is a box where you can put your book donations.
