Urgent Expeditions Request

Urgent request for help with our internship program
Students start Expeditions in only a week and we are still looking for internships for students who are interested in working with animals. If you have a good relationship with a veterinary clinic or hospital or know someone at an organization that works with animals and would be willing to reach out to them to encourage them to host a Summit student in our internship program, please e-mail Linda Stevenin at lstevenin@summitps.org. I'll be happy to share more about the program with you and provide some tips for making the request.

Executive Director's Message

Dear Husky Families It has been so wonderful meeting with all of you for our PLP family meetings! We are looking forward to working together as a team to provide the personalized support each student needs to achieve their year-long goals! We recommend that all families regularly use the PLP tool to inform conversations at home and have students reflect on how they can adjust their action items to meet their current needs. Thank you for your partnership and support at home! Save the Date: Carnaval on Saturday, October 25th from 11-4 p.m. We are so excited to share that Summit Prep will have its first ever Carnaval! Please join us for a Halloween-themed day filled with games and prizes, delicious food, and activities to help support our fundraising campaign! We hope that you will support us by extending the invitation to your friends, family members, and community members so that we can celebrate together! Please be on the lookout in the coming weeks for volunteer opportunities and donation requests. We would love to have a large group of students volunteer and provide community service for this event as well. Teaching and Learning Tour this Thursday (for current families)Please join us this Thursday, September 25 from 8:30 - 10 a.m. for our first Teaching and Learning Tour with the Directors. We will be observing classrooms and engaging in a dialogue about the Summit student experience. Club Fair this Friday This Friday, students will have the opportunity to join student clubs and launch student clubs for this school year. Clubs are a great way to gain leadership skills and contribute productively to our student community so please encourage your students to join! Expeditions #1 Begins Monday, September 29th!
In just one week, our students will embark on their first Expedition to explore their passions and interests! Students will be notified about their courses this week. Here's to another great week! Penelope and Wren ( Return to Top)
