Executive Director's Message
|
Dear Husky Families:
We hope everyone had a restful and relaxing spring break!
We're excited to have our students engage in real-world experiences once again during Expeditions! Students will continue to use their creative powers in art and multimedia classes, as well as utilize the cognitive skills they learn in core academic classes. Our expeditions teachers engage students in college-level material and conversations about culture, psychology and future success in our global society. Summit Prep is looking forward to having this time to learn and grow! As a reminder, teachers will have office hours each morning beginning at 8:15 a.m., so please make sure students are on time to take advantage of this support!
Join us for a night of Gambling, Catered Food, and Festive Libations! We are so excited to see many of you at our upcoming Casino Night and Silence Auction! Our wonderful Community High School Foundation fundraiser will be a great time to indulge in all of the wonderful things that Vegas has to offer: catered cuisine, live gambling, and adult beverages! Please join us for a fun night of partying for a cause -- to support our amazing teachers and students! We'll see you Saturday, May 3rd, 6 p.m. at the Arrillaga Family Recreation Center in Menlo Park. If you have any questions or would like to help out, please email chsf@summitprep.net.
State of the School Event this Wednesday at 7 p.m. We hope that you will join us this Wednesday to discuss how our innovative school model best prepares our students for success in college, career, and life. We encourage all families, especially those who have not had a chance to attend our mornings and evenings with the Director, to join us and engage in an opportunity to better understand how our model thoughtfully prepares our students for college rigor, and the demands of a professional career in our innovative economy. We look forward to seeing you this week! Sincerely,
Penelope, Patti, and John

College Readiness -11th Grade College Updates - Summer Opportunities Many colleges ask prospective students, "How did you spend the summer before your senior year?" Now is the time to begin considering summer options that will provide enriching experiences for our students. Please visit our college website for a list of opportunities under the "11th Grade" tab at college.summitps.org. The website is updated regularly with a wealth of information related to college, including details related to upcoming college fairs this spring.
