Summit Prep will be closed on Monday, October 7. School will be in session on Monday, October 14. We apologize for the confusion. RECRUITING SEASON BEGINSIts hard to believe its already time to recruit a new class of Summit Huskies! Next week will be our first Open House, which will kick off a series of evenings, tours, and shadow days. There are many ways you can help support the Summit Staff during these events. Please note: If you have an 8th grader interested in coming to Summit , they must submit an application. Siblings (in-district) do have a preference in the Lottery, but the application is their ticket into the Lottery. Applications will be available at the Front Desk starting October 1. GET INVOLVED
Attend an Open House meet/greet and answer questions with prospective parents. The first open house is Wednesday, October 2 at Summit from 7 - 9 p.m. Open houses are monthly thereafter (November 5, December 5, February 8) and alternate between Summit and Everest. Sign up here (http://bit.ly/1eSaVVA).
HELP BEHIND THE SCENES Prepare Recruitment Folders Monday through Wednesday, September 30 to October 1, from 9 a.m. to Noon. Sign up here (http://bit.ly/1bTWq2i).- Make copies and stuff folders at EVEREST
- Make copies and collate into folders
- Enter data into an Excel spreadsheet at SUMMIT. (Requires about 1 hour for training, and 1-3 hours from October through February. Time is flexible, during school hours.)
SPREAD THE WORD
We need to spread the word about the Everest and Summit open house dates to middle schools throughout the district. If you can help us post our information (below) in your child's middle school newsletter (or any other appropriate forum), or know of high school information nights at your child's middle schools, we would greatly appreciate your help!
The announcement is here: http://bit.ly/16Wd9Lw. Please let Patti Giamoni (pgiamoni@summitprep.net) know where you can post the announcement so that she can keep track. Thanks in advance!
