Here I Am Lord
Judy Flieger

There is a saying that "He who sings prays twice." I think that is a fitting analogy for many of our anthems. Many are prayer-filled - others are praising God for who He is.  There is something to be said for lifting our voices together to make a joyful noise to Him. Because when we sing to God as a congregation we are all lifted up - higher than if we sang alone.

So, as members of any of the music teams, our job is not to perform from the stage, but to help the congregation to come together and join their voices in worshiping God. This is easier said than done. It is much easier to perform (lift yourself up) than it is to lift up others. But that's what your music teams strive for. We want to inspire the congregation to put aside any worries or fears, and with their voices, lift up God.

S.S.ARKade Reward Lunch

Last Sunday, six 3rd - 5th graders enjoyed burgers and ice cream at Rogers after church. These children earned a free lunch by filling a page of their S.S.ARKade passport with stickers. The children earn stickers for attendance, bringing their Bible, reciting ABC memory verses, solving Scripture Sleuth mysteries and reading The Story of Kids. The children and adult chaperones all had a great time, it didn't even matter that the walk back to church was a bit wet.

Easter Flower Cross
Sunday, March 27

"Full of beauty, fragrance and life that breaks forth from a lifeless bulb or seed, spring flowers are a wonderful reminder and symbol of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who broke forth from the grave on the first Easter, conquering death so that all who believe in Him might also have new life."

In celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Easter Sunday worshippers are invited to bring fresh flowers of any color or size, cut from the garden or purchased at the store. These flowers will be placed on a wire wrapped cross during the Easter morning worship services. The flowered cross is a beautiful symbol and reminder of the transformation and new life of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
