Attention Prayer Shawl Knitters

If you started a prayer shawl project with the Knitting for Warmth Knitters, but for whatever reason are not going to be able to finish it, be sure to drop your unfinished project off at the office or come to the next meeting with it - we have some ladies that would be happy to help you get it done!

Parking Lot Change

Please do not park in the lot next to Crafted restaurant's parking on Lakeside.  Crafted restaurant owns the area on the corner of Lakeside and 6th Street with freight box structures. Next to that area is a two row parking lot that we cannot access unless we pay for parking. We cannot park there on Sundays either. On Sunday, please park in the lots with Diamond Parking signs and also the sandwich board signs marked "CHURCH PARKING." If you have any questions, feel free to stop by the office for a parking lot map or click here. Thank you. CHURCH OFFICE

Family Promise Week
 October 18-25

The week of October 18-25 is Family Promise Week. Our local affiliate, Family Promise of North Idaho, is one of 192 programs across the country uniting the faith community to help children and their families who are homeless. Family Promise Week is a time to renew commitments by hosting a meal, providing a meal, being an overnight host or becoming a part of the FPNI van drivers. Helping homeless families with children is a beautiful mission so, ask your coordinators how to sign up.
Also, did you know that one out of every four people who is homeless is a child? Or those families with children make up 40% of the people in this country who are homeless? Family homelessness is a national problem. In the School Districts of Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls and Rathdrum, there were on average 507 homeless children in the school year 2014-2015. FPNI is committed to spread the word. Cardboard Box City October 9th, 2015 was a night to raise awareness about the plight of the homeless. November 14 - 22 is National Homeless Awareness Week and FPNI will be celebrating the successes of our guests, honoring our network churches and volunteers, and educating 5th grade classes on the plight of the homeless. So mark your calendars because we will be honoring you on November 22nd.
