The school was conceived so that American diplomats, executives and the like, stationed in London, could send their kids to a place they would be familiar and comfortable with, and that would allow them to reintegrate easily into the American education system when they returned. And return to America they did. Most kids only stayed a couple of years and 4 years was considered a long stay - their parents rotating home, or on to the next foreign assignment, as their positions and jobs dictated.
The school went k-12 in one large building, with a total enrollment of about 1200. I went the distance. All the way from the k to the 12. And, even though my senior year I was permanently banned from the high school library (I deserved that one), and flirted constantly with rules ... Read More

Thank-you

The FPC Women's Association would like to express hearty gratitude to each person who helped support our FUNdraiser Quilt Raffle, Silent Auction, Talent Sharing, and Potluck through caring donations. The funds will support academic scholarships for adults, camp scholarships for students, kitchen donations, missions, The Village at Orchard Ridge, and miscellaneous expenses. We tremendously appreciate your support. Thank you one and all!

Another Thank-you

Sally Bohn would like to thank all 1stPres friends who sent her cards, made phone calls, visited, and prayed for her during the time in the hospital. She is home now recuperating and appreciates her church family's care and concern for her.

Candy Drive!

If you can't participate in the Trunk-Or-Treat Downtown Coeur d'Alene, please help those who do by donating candy to be given out. Last year we gave away over 300 lbs of candy!!! Beginning this Sunday, there will be candy collection boxes at church. Please help our teams out by bringing candy donations to church throughout the month of October.

Bible Sunday

The Bible is the Word of God, written for the children of God. The Bible is a special part of one's faith journey. On Sunday, October 11 at both the 9:00 and 11:00 worship services, 1stPres will give Bibles to all 3rd grade children and older children who have not yet been given a Bible from the church. In order to make each child's Bible a memorable keepsake, a special 1stPres Downtown presentation bookplate will be added to each Bible. So, if you have a 3rd grader or your child is older than 3rd grade and has not yet received a Bible from 1stPres, please return the Bible form that was mailed out or email Lou@1stpresdowntown.org with how you would like your child's name to be printed in their Bible. This will be a special moment in the faith journey of these children and it is an honor as their church family to be a part of it!
