 Parrot Fun
Becky Clegg
Church Administrator

Ramona and Obie LOVE stuffed animals. They have a big basket near the fireplace that is full of stuffed animals for play. Of course, just like many little ones, they only want the toy that the other dog has at the time. Well, on Sunday when I dressed up in my Pirate Sunday best pirate garb, Ramona happened to be watching me put the stuffed, large parrot on my shoulder and she was extremely interested. Once I finished dressing and walked around to show Ken, she was like velcro near my feet. She then began to bark at the parrot. I think she thought it had suddenly come to life and was a real bird. Of course, Ken and I had a little fun with her reaction before I left for church. You can only imagine! She definitely brings a lot of laughter to our lives.

I wanted to say how much I appreciated so many of you for your spirit of play and your willingness to dress like a pirate for our Whitworth University Pirate Sunday. Dr. Beck Taylor from Whitworth was so impressed with our show of spirit. He said it was definitely the first time he had attended a Pirate Sunday at a church. He LOVED it!  In Proverbs 15:13 it says, "A glad heart makes a cheerful face..." We certainly had a lot of smiles on our faces this past Sunday and fun, fellowship and laughter. I'm sure God was smiling up in the heavens at His special fellowship of believers at First Presbyterian Church in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. We miss our snowbirds as well as those who are battling the flu and/or colds. Please get well soon and know that we are all praying for your well-being so we will see your smiling faces very soon. Take care.

God's blessing to you all,
Becky
