Senator Randy Head [R-18]
is seeking input from businesses in his district related to burdensome laws and regulations that hamper the business climate in Indiana

HOT! Customer Service Seminar Sponsorship Deadline August 19
Cardinal Services in partnership with WKChamber   
is hosting a customer service duplicate seminars on September 10, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and September 11, from 9 am. to 12:30 p.m., each to be held at Warsaw Community Church.  

Highly sought-after motivational speaker, Petra Marquart will be presenting at these two exciting sessions.  Ms. Marquart will share her passion for genuine customer service in her own entertaining fashion.  She will discuss the value of communication, how to deal with unhappy customers, and how to provide true customer service every day -- even when you're not in the mood.

The Planning Committee is seeking sponsors for this Petra event and we are inviting you to consider joining us.  Sponsorship levels range from $150 to $500.

HOT! Grace Village BAH August 22
Grace Village Grace Village Retirement Community  
invites you to attend a Business After Hours at their location, 337 Grace Village Drive in Winona Lake.  The event will be held in the Independent Living portion of the facility on Thursday, August 22, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Refreshments will be served in our updated Fellowship Cafe, prepared by the catering kitchens of Grace Village. 

There will door prizes and tours of the residential apartments.

DC Flyin September 18-19
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce  
makes available to us the ability to fly into DC and meet with our legislators.  The dates have been scheduled for September 18 & 19, 2013.

Seven additional attendees are needed
from our community in order to charter a plane.  The Kosciusko County delegation will leave the Warsaw Municipal Airport on the 18th around 9 a.m. and return on the 19th around 6 p.m.

Approximate costs for the event are: 
Registration -- $99 
Hotel -- $275 
2 lunches -- $50 
Miscellaneous -- $50

Small Business Strategy for Healthcare Reform September 10

is holding a seminar on September 10, from 7:30 to 9 a.m.  The seminar is designed for employers with 50 or fewer full-time equivalent employees, and employers who are not offering health insurance due to cost or participation and employers who offer a health insurance plan that is no longer affordable will be particularly interested in this informational meeting.

is holding Town Hall Meetings at different locations in Northern Indiana.

As of 2010, there are more than 488,000 small businesses in Indiana that employ 1.2 million Hoosiers.  Please join the bipartisan Small Business Caucus at an upcoming town hall to discuss what role government can play in helping small businesses grow and streamline their operations.

NSA Super World Series October 4-6
Super World Series The CCAC
is hosting the NSA Super World Series -- Men's Silver Division on October 4-6, 2013.  This event will draw 80-100 teams from across the country.  Nearly 2,000 players and their families will be visiting our community.  The CCAC staff and volunteer committee have done an extraordinary job preparing for this event.  Please welcome the guests to our community during their stay her in Kosciusko County.
