HOT! Mid-Session Legislative Update March 1
KCH The Government Issues Committee of the Chamber is holding this public Mid-Session Legislative Update on Friday, March 1, 2013, from 7:30 to At&T 9 a.m. at the KCH Health & Wellness Center, 1500 Provident Drive in Warsaw.  

The format will be a panel of legislators who will be present to answer your questions --all have been invited.

Continental breakfast will be provided by KCH.

This event is sponsored by KCH and AT&T.

Indianapolis Legislative Bus Trip March 27
Indy Statehouse
Don't miss this opportunity to spend a couple of hours on a bus headed to Indianapolis with 20 business people on a mission to talk to your state legislators about concerns affecting your business. 

The Chamber has chartered a bus from 2nd Mile Adventures that will pick up attendees in the parking lot of Warsaw Community Church, at 2300 Ranch Road in Warsaw at 8:30 a.m.  You can leave your car for the day in the upper parking lot at WCC. 

The trip will include a Statehouse tour followed by lunch with the Kosciusko County delegation.  After lunch you will have the opportunity to meet with some key departments and officials before leaving Indianapolis about 4:30 p.m. for the return ride home.

has launched another way to get local news.  It is a local video newscast available every weekday by noon on their website or your smart phone.  Log into www.1073wrsw.com to view the video newscast on their website. 

For those of you with smart phones and would prefer watching at your convenience through your electronic device, simply send a text.  Text the word UPDATE to 45364.  You will receive a reply with a link for that day's local video newscast.  The subject matter is strictly bona fide news with local video.

Roses for Community Charity March 21
Kiwanis Club of Warsaw
is selling roses in your choice of red, pink, or yellow.  Only $18 per dozen.  Roses can be picked up at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from noon to 4 p.m. 

Kiwanis supports Riley Children's Hospital, Salvation Army, Mobile Meals, and other community projects.

Habitat for Humanity Seeking Rain Barrel Sponsorships and Artists-- Completion by April 26
Habitat for Humanity 
is seeking rain barrel sponsorships and artists for the second time.  Barrels will be unveiled at First Friday on May 3rd, while awards will be handed out at First Friday on June 7th.  Barrels must be completed by April 26th.

Barrels will be on display at the Northern Indiana Lakes Festival on June 8th at Center Lake Park.
