Small Business Connection February 5
| |
Small Business Connection
is a forum for small business owners coming together to share ideas, and learn from each other. This networking group will meet on the first Tuesday of each month at the Chamber of Commerce 313 S. Buffalo Street, in Warsaw. The first meeting will be held on February 5, 2013, from 7 to 8 p.m.
The speaker for the February 5, meeting will be Brad Skiles, founder and owner of Center Street Partners. Brad will speak on: "From Boom to Bust, the Austrian Business Cycle Theory." Using the 2012 Stockton, California bankruptcy as an example, Skiles will discuss how the city council and small business owners misunderstood the housing boom. The Austrian Business Cycle presents the view that the government creates a boom by keeping interest rates artificially low. The unsustainable boom then leads to a bust. The primary economic damage occurs as business owners make investment decisions based on the false data they observe during the boom cycle. Learn how you can help your business avoid this mistake and strategies to help grow your business during a bust cycle. Brad Skiles is a Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative with Securian Financial Services, Inc., a Securities Dealer and Registered Investment Advisor, Member FINRA/SIPC. Center Street Partners is independently owned and operated. CENTER STREET PARTNERS 1303 E. Center St., Warsaw, IN 46580.
