Hello friends,
Hope you had a great week...let's make the next one even better!

My week started off with a breast biopsy--not much fun, but fortunately my results were negative. I laid low for two days, but resumed normal activity (power walks, albeit at a slightly slower pace, and hula hooping). Will resume upper body strength training and all activities at my normal pace hopefully starting next week. Although there's part of me that always worries when I have a biopsy (had three in the last few months alone), what I hate most about it is how it sidelines me. But I consider the alternative and am at least glad to be taking steps to care for myself the best way I know how. Hope you do the same for yourself.

Below you'll find links to my latest Parents.com blogs--one on soy and one on fast food. I'm also happy to share with my registered dietitian pals links to sign up for a few of my upcoming talks--one in October at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Food and Nutrition Conference in Houston, and two in May at the Today's Dietitian Spring Symposium in Vegas, baby!

A special shout out just because goes to my dear friend, Tara Gidus, and #teamgidus this week. She and her late husband Stephen (he passed a year ago this week) taught me that no matter what happens in life, and what challenges you face, it's important to soldier on, take time to see the lessons, the light, and the goodness around you, and share what you learn with those who choose to listen and learn.

Have a great week. And please don't forget to #moveitorloseit!
