Greetings!
The month of May has truly been merry at Almaden Yoga. The second location opened its doors to Almaden yogis and many more are slowly walking in through those doors. A number of changes have occurred and, while change may seem difficult, trust me, it's only to give you more choices of classes, teachers, locations, and class timings.
I hope you are happy with the new studio and are enjoying the energy there. Slowly, things will be added, updated, and adjusted.
Thank you to all those who bought the Blossom Hill Welcome Offer. Please remember this offer can be used only at the Blossom Hill location. It CANNOT be used at the Via Valiente location. Please be respectful of this policy.

Recipe of the Month
Yes Ron and I have started to cook again after a crazy one month of getting the new studio in place. We have never eaten so many Safeway pizzas at 2 am after a long hard day. Even at that odd hour of 2 am, a glass of wine and a few slices of Safeway pizza seemed heavenly.
Putting down yet another dish that we often cook at home. Love love love this pasta and Ron actually does a better job at it :)
Instead of clams we use shrimps and put it a bit later in step 1. You may choose to use gluten free pasta. For us the more garlic and tarragon, the better. So feel free to add more if your like these flavors. Butter is optional but it adds to the flavor. Also we substitute 1/2 cup of milk in place of the cream.
Enjoy and let me know if you liked this.
Linguine with Clams Serves 4 Courtesy - Contemporary Italian by Robert Helstrom
1/2 cup chopped pancetta 1 tablespoon olive oil 24 small live clams, well scrubbed or shrimps 2 teaspoon each minced garlic, and shallots 6 ounces dried linguine or long thin pasta 3/4 cup dry white wine 1 cup cream 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil 1 table spoon chopped fresh tarragon 2/3 cup diced tomatoes (put in hot water and peel the skin off) 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper 1-2 table spoon butter (optional)
- Combine the pancetta, oil, clams, garlic, and shallots in a large skillet over high heat. Cook until pancetta begins to render its fat and the clamps begin to open.
- Start cooking the pasta in boiling salted water.
- Add the wine, cream, herbs, tomatoes, salt, and pepper to the skillet and reduce slightly.
- Taste and adjust for seasoning.
- Add the butter if you want a richer flavor.
- When the pasta is done, drain it well and add to the skillet and toss to coat evenly.
