No stranger to late night tags, the guys drop some barbershop knowledge in this parody of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop". Enjoy the tongue-and-cheek lyrics and music theory jokes in their tribute to all things Barbershop, with lyrics written by Sam Green and Paul John Rudoi.

Survey says: We heard you!

In May and June, the Strategic Planning Team launched their first full-fledged Member Survey, which collected your opinions about the current state of BHS. Thank you to the nearly 3,000 members who replied! A complete report of the research was presented at the BHS July Board meeting and is now available for online viewing here.

Watch your mailboxes next week for our Future Directions Survey, where you'll get the chance to weigh in on where the Society ought to be headed going forward!

LEADING THE WAY

Meet your new Leadership Facilitators!

As a part of the recent Harmony University 2016, the Barbershop Harmony Society trained and certified ten new Leadership Facilitators, whose purpose is to serve as a community of trained experts who are passionate about making a difference through thought leadership. The facilitator program is one of the components under the volunteer arm Leadership Operations Project Team (LOPT) of BHS.

Each facilitator is equipped to deliver specific leadership training, serve as a support conduit between all of our chapters, and further progress and promote the Healthy Chapter Initiative Further information about direct involvement with these facilitators will be sent to each district and chapter in the coming months. If you're ready to make a difference in people's lives through the joy of singing, the Barbershop Harmony Society stands ready to assist you!

A new application cycle of our successful outreach grants program begins September 1, but you should be working with your team now (chapter board, district leadership team, partner organizations, stakeholders) to craft an application that is thorough, informative, accurate and compelling. To get you started, look through the application questions and begin drafting your responses offline.
