VIDEO OF THE WEEK: Ringmasters
One of the most talked about songs of the convention never appeared on the contest stage! Ringmasters presented this stunning performance at the AIC show, bringing the audience (and a chorus of gold medalists) leaping to their feet.

Arranged by Aaron Dale
this intricate piece takes us on a journey to 15th century France and presents the tale of the Hunchback of Notre Dame. This incredible performance is made even more dramatic by the stunning acoustics of the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville. Incredible.

THANKS FOR SINGING WITH US, NASHVILLE!
A Better World. Singing.
In a week full of statistics, scores, and serious competition, a really cool thing happened. Nashville came out to sing and experience a cappella like never before, with nearly 2,000 locals joining us for the Saturday Night Spectacular and Quartet Finals. In a follow up survey, we received high marks from our new friends and introduced over 70% of participants to barbershop for the first time.

Here's a tiny peek at some of the great things that happened throughout the city!

SONG OF THE WEEK
A Gene Cokeroft gem!
We're so proud to publish this one from barbershop legend Gene Cokeroft. This performance of There'll Be No New Tunes On This Old Piano from Crossroads showcases perfectly. Ringing chords abound in this one, showing off your barbershop chops and letting that tenor hanger fly on the tag.

Available from Marketplace as printed sheet music or digital downloadLearning tracks, too... by none other than Tim Waurick.
BEST. WEEK. EVER.
Harmony University begins this weekend!
We may have just finished the Convention, but our Barbershop summer is still in full swing as we get ready to welcome students to Harmony U on Sunday. Hundreds of classes, top notch faculty and coaches, singing EVERYWHERE, and way too much fun for anyone to handle... it all starts in two days!

Watch for photos and video of all the HU action next week. We'll be capturing and sharing terrific warm-ups and song sessions from our morning gatherings, as-it-happens photos and class snippets, and live performances from around the city during our second annual HU Festival on Saturday.

HFI NEWS
Announcement from Harmony Foundation
Sharon W. Miller
After 13 years of service and leadership, Clarke Caldwell has decided to resign from his position with Harmony Foundation International, effective July 11, 2016. We thank him for his vision, leadership and the positive path he led us down. All of us wish him well in his future endeavors.

Sharon Miller, Chair of the HFI Board of Trustees, is temporarily fulfilling the duties of President/CEO of Harmony Foundation International. The Board's Nominating Committee has begun the process to fill the role of President/CEO.

The Foundation's board leadership is strong, its staff vibrant, and both are fully committed to the organization. Sharon is confident that HFI's current momentum and the partnership between HFI and BHS will continue to grow. In the past nine months, almost 700 new donors have joined the Harmony Foundation family. The Legacy of Harmony endowment fund has received $7.5 million in new commitments to ensure the long-term impact of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
The Foundation is a debt-free organization and is contributing $1.8 million to needed programs and needful organizations this year alone. This would not be possible without committed members and charitable partners.

Harmony Foundation and the Barbershop Harmony Society are positioned to make a significant difference in efforts to keep the whole world singing. With the epidemic demise of singing in America, this collaborative work has never been more important. This year tens of thousands of people have been impacted by HFI and BHS programs, and even more will be in the future.
