OU QUE VOUS FAITES VOTRE CHANT VOUS? Help FRABS spread Barbershop in France! A request from our fellow barbershoppers in France: We know that there are many English-speaking people living in France, especially in the area of Paris: Americans, British, and more. We bet that most of them know about Barbershop in some way (even if they don't actually sing it themselves), because it is much more common in your culture than in ours. But these people might not know about FRABS yet.

TAKING THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD Alexandria Harmonizers to present excerpts from show at Nashville Convention After a successful and highly rewarding performance of this powerful piece, Musical Director Joe Cerutti shared some closing thoughts about the experience. "I will never forget this week as long as I live. Rubbing elbows with artistic celebrities is probably what attracted us to accept this performance in the beginning, but the powerful message delivered through equally powerful music quickly surpassed it's star power and became our purpose for the last 4 months. Music changes lives, and we strive to create a better world through singing everyday, but today we didn't have to go too far to find lives that were changed."
The chorus enjoyed specific mentions in several reviews of the work:
"What did consistently move me in the second act, however, was the choral singing, and the commitment all of the performers had to sharing the story. The all-male Alexandria Harmonizers lived up to their name, and offered up some of the best choral singing I've heard in this area along with the small group of some of the theatre's best male vocalists onstage (though [the] choreography for the ensemble was a little busy and slightly cheesy, the heavenly vocals distracted me from it)." -

STEP BY STEP, PUTTING IT TOGETHER
The clock is ticking: Remember to complete your legal filings, then report them in eBiz!
All U.S. chapters, districts and subsidiaries (Brigades, etc.) must report to the IRS by May 15th each year using Form 990 or Form 990N. Failure to file on time can result in either financial penalties for each day a return is late or loss of non-profit status or both. Canadian Chapters must file on or before June 30 with the Canada Revenue Agency. Filing these annual reports with government agencies isn't just a good idea; it's the law.
The Barbershop Harmony Society also requires that ALL chapters, both US and Canadian, must complete a financial review for 2015 by May 15, 2016. This is not difficult, is not an audit and merely requires that a financially savvy person, other than the treasurer, inspects your books.
to ensure the entire organization can accurately report on compliance.

YOU LIKE THEM... YOU REALLY LIKE THEM!
PROBE Hall of Honor Nominations now open
In a music outfit such as ours, performers understandably receive the most visible recognition. But we all know that there are many other members who work behind the scenes in non-singing tasks to support our musical accomplishments. Among them: the marketing, public relations and bulletin volunteers who help communicate our message and our music, both within the Society and to other music lovers.
