ANOTHER LOST SISTER
Jimmy and Sting smash it with "Roxanne"
In what might be the least ironic performance of The Ragtime Gals, multiple Grammy winner Sting reprises his hit on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. To properly expand the subject matter, we were hoping for a medley with "Midnight Rose" or "In The Heart of the City." Some themes never change.

WHEN? SOON -- AT LAST!
Doin' the Polecat Strut
Since 1971, harmonizers worldwide have turned to the Barberpole Cat Songbook and Program for a reliable resource of singable songs "everyone knows."
We've all cut our teeth on "Down Our Way" and "Heart of My Heart." Four short decades later -- we're ready for a few more!
The Barberpole Cat Songbook Vol. II is designed to bridge the gap between Polecat songs and music at a difficulty level that many of our Harmony Brigades sing. This book is designed for the member who has "graduated" from the standard Polecat book. You'll find songs in this songbook you are already familiar with; indeed, for many chapters, Boston Common tunes or "Hello Mary Lou (Goodbye Heart)" are basically de facto Polecats. We have your original works - like the Norm Starks piece - as well as tried-and-true favorites.
- After You've Gone
- Bright Was The Night
- Caroline
- (When It's) Darkness On The Delta
- Drivin' Me Crazy
- From The First Hello To The Last Goodbye
- Goodbye, My Coney Island Baby / We All Fall
- Hello Mary Lou (Goodbye Heart)
- I Don't Know Why (I Just Do)
- I've Been Workin' On The Railroad
- Lida Rose /Will I Ever Tell You
- Over The Rainbow

Living a bass fantasy
The Fantasy Quartet that YOU selected will be featured on the Saturday Night Spectacular at Pittsburgh, paying tribute to favorite son Stephen Foster by singing one of his greatest hits, arranged by barbershop icon Ed Waesche.
Last week we unveiled Singer #1, the tenor. Most commentators had already pegged stratospheric postmaster Tim Waurick for the role.
This week, we reveal the foundation, the core, the mover of earth, the envy of men and heartbreaker of women -- the bass.

Sure, these guys all sound great on video -- but you need to be at the Saturday Night Spectacular in Pittsburgh to hear them together in their full glory.

DON'T MISS THIS!
Sweet by themselves, and SPECTACULAR with SEP
Pittsburgh 2015 continues the transformation of our annual international convention from a closed, inward-looking event, to a way for us to share harmony with our host cities. It's not good enough to sweep into town, drop $12 million into the local economy, then disappear without a trace. We need everyone to know they can sing and enjoy it long and after us!
This year's Saturday Night Spectacular builds on that theme by highlighting many different kinds of collaboration. In collaboration with local Pittsburgh talent and operformers from around the world, you'll hear singers of all styles; ensembles of all sizes; and in this case, singers of all ages.
Vintage Mix, a mixed quartet from Wisconsin, brings a unique blend and charm that comes from four quadruplets singing together. The quartet frequently sings with the Midwest Vocal Express, and earlier this year shared the stage at a Wisconsin gubernatorial inauguration ball.
Combine this with the mature sound of 2015 International Seniors Quartet Champion Saturday Evening Post, and you will have a moment guaranteed to charm.
Saturday Night at conventions will never be the same!

Best keep on getting better; listen, then see
Funny thing about top performers: they tend to keep improving. Quartets reaching the Top Twenty start pulling hard for the Finals; choruses with past medals are determined to show they belong there when they return.
You can put this hypothesis to the test this year in Pittsburgh, thanks to this super gift offer.
Purchase a full convention registration online before June 24, and we'll give you BOTH the 2014 Quartet AND Chorus contest recordings as FREE DOWNLOADS! This is a $30 value, our way of giving you that final nudge to say, "YES! I'VE GOT TO BE THERE!"
