Sing-Off Tour showcases barbershop!
A cappella comes to the masses, as The Sing-off Live! begins touring the country. In addition to featuring top groups from the NBC show, each concert will include local a cappella groups as an opening act... including barbershop! This is obviously a huge benefit to us all, with high quality barbershop being introduced to a fresh new audience. On the schedule so far:
-
Forefront (March 25 in Louisville)
-
Instant Classic (March 26 in Indianapolis)
-
Central Standard Chorus (April 3 in Kansas City)
Complete tour schedule and tickets are at www.singofftour.com

Choral directors love barbershop
We've talked your ears off about the huge successes our music and outreach teams had at the recent American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) biennial National Conference. With good reason! A key value your Society brings to your own barbershop efforts is influencing current and future music educators.
Between show and tell sessions, music reading sessions, and concerts and salon performances, we reached thousands of people, who walked away understanding that barbershop builds high school choral activities for men.
Enough yakking -- let the people we met tell the story themselves.

EVERY ___ IS A ____ IN AN IRISHMAN'S HEART
All about that Blarney
Last week we were " All About That Bass" from newcomer Meghan Trainor. This week, the pendulum swings back to the traditional Irish ballads that filled piano rolls, parlors, and our collective consciousness in the Tin Pan Alley era.(Not to mention our barbershop stages; time was you couldn't go to a contest without hearing at least tribute to the Emerald Isle.)

COMPETE? NAH-- GO JUST FOR THE FUN!
Find Spring conventions now
Late night singing. Champs' shows. Contests. More singing.
The best way to tear yourself out of a barbershop rut is to go mix it up with fresh faces. Head out to a District Convention this spring. Hint: sometimes the closest convention isn't always your own district. This weekend kicks off the Spring season with events in Dixie and Mid-Atlantic Districts; next week, find the action in Far Western, Cardinal and Carolinas Districts.
Find them all at barbershop.org/calendar.
