Saturday Evening Post captures seniors championship

Saturday Evening Post, a quartet from Colorado Springs, bested 26 other groups to capture the gold medals in Saturday's International Seniors Quartet Contest.
Singing "Tin Roof Blues" and "That's A-Plenty," the quartet earned the highest score ever posted for the Seniors contest, an 81% score that would be comparable to seminfinalist quartets in the open class International championships.
No surprise in that: all four singers are past medalist and champion-level singers. The members of Saturday Evening Post are:
- Bobby Gray, Jr., age 57, tenor
- Allen Gasper, age 59, lead
- Brian Beck, age 74, bari
- Tom WiIkie, age 55, bass
