Cutest (and highest) version of "The Auctioneer" that you'll ever hear
John Wernega started this barbershop ensemble (ranging from grades three to eight) at his school. It's the first time they performed a barbershop arrangement. "The Quinton School barbershop ensemble (under the direction of John Wernega) performs "The Auctioneer." These students range from grades three to eight. Special thanks to Lori Ludlum for the coaching session on stage presence."

Music educators and students offered FREE webcast
The Barbershop Harmony Society is offering a special, lower-bandwidth feed optimized for mobile devices FREE to students and teachers who sign up using select education email addresses.(Clarification: Our system recognizes school email addresses ending in .edu, or ending in the standard form of .k12.xx.us . We regret that not all institutions will be able to enjoy free access in this year's initial beta test.)
This "no strings" offer will add to our production expense for the webcast, but it's worth the cost if it creates new barbershop fans. Be cool: don't abuse the system. If you would have paid for the webcast before, pay for it now. Don't "game" the system by slipping through a loophole. Do the responsible thing and pay for the incredible experience you already know it to be.

MEET YOUR HEROES IN VEGAS
Sidewinders, Second Edition schedule "Meet and Greet"
| The Sidewinders |
This year we celebrate milestone anniversaries of The Sidewinders (1964) and The Second Edition (1989) International Quartet Champions.
In addition to performances throughout the week, the quartets have a special "Meet and Greet" reception on Friday, July 4, 2:30-3:30pm at the MGM Grand Conference Center, 1st Floor.
 | The Second Edition |
The Second Edition is hardly resting on its laurels, either. Look for bass Jamie Meyer singing in Absolute, bari Doug Harrington directing zero8, tenor Fred Farrell singing with Crossroads, and lead David Harrington's arrangements will be sung by many groups.
Catch up with the quartet at www.secondeditionquartet.com or on Facebook.
AIC member George Davidson (Classic Collection, 1982) has compiled a nice list of all past champs who have gotten back in the chase this year.
