One of my daughters heard the National Anthem being played as an instrumental piece at a prior track event and she was very unsatisfied with this. She felt it should be sung so she reached out to her teacher and asked if she and her siblings could sing it together for the next track meet. They agreed to it and it's been a whirlwind since last Thursday. We taped it and have received very favorable response since. We have been attending the Midwest Vocal Express chorus concerts here in the Milwaukee area, and my kids just love barbershop. I wanted to share it with you because it has been such a blessing to many people. They put this together themselves within two days with relatively limited coaching.  Hal Leonard publishing deal to expand global reach of barbershop
Folks liked the new sheet music cover revealed last week, It coincides with a new distribution deal with Hal Leonard the world's largest music print publisher. More than 100 arrangements never before available through the music dealer network will be added to the Hal Leonard catalog for convenient ordering.
This agreement will put great barbershop music in front of tens of thousands of music educators, who will recognize and appreciate the assurance of quality that goes with the Hal Leonard brand.
Hal Leonard and the Barbershop Harmony Society will jointly market these publications to educators through Hal Leonard's national Joy of Singing workshops and via reading sessions at select music retailers. Hal Leonard plans to reach the growing international market through its operations in Europe, Australia/New Zealand and Asia.
