You will love hearing these quadruplets sing "The Star-Spangled Banner"
Harmony bred right into them!
Their mother writes:
One of my daughters heard the National Anthem being played as an instrumental piece at a prior track event and she was very unsatisfied with this. She felt it should be sung so she reached out to her teacher and asked if she and her siblings could sing it together for the next track meet. They agreed to it and it's been a whirlwind since last Thursday. We taped it and have received very favorable response since. We have been attending the Midwest Vocal Express chorus concerts here in the Milwaukee area, and my kids just love barbershop. I wanted to share it with you because it has been such a blessing to many people. They put this together themselves within two days with relatively limited coaching. They have a knack for harmony and are working to refine the harmonies even more. We hope that you're blessed and encouraged to see young people enjoying singing harmony and honoring our country!

DIRECTORS ROUNDTABLE - SATURDAY, JULY 5, 2:30-4:30 PM
Champ directors reveal deepest secrets! (was: Rumble in the desert)
In any other world, this would be impossible. Imagine the head coaches of the Stanley Cup Finals teams sitting down for a friendly public chat the morning after the championship game.
In barbershop, it's commonplace. Those who lead some of our finest performers gladly give still more in their pure joy for our sport. Look who's coming to our Directors Roundtable at Las Vegas:
-
Greg Clancy - The Vocal Majority
-
Aaron Dale - Kentucky Vocal Union
-
Darin Drown - Sound of the Rockies
-
Doug Harrington - zero8
-
Justin Miller - The Masters of Harmony
Please wear sunglasses to this event, because the amount of gold, silver, and bronze at the table will be dazzling. It seems likely that some or all of them will be wearing brand new medals earned in Friday's Chorus Contest. Knowing their passion for the art form, each director will be there to genuinely praise and admire the achievements of the previous day. Don't miss this! |

Folks liked the new sheet music cover revealed last week, It coincides with a new distribution deal with Hal Leonard the world's largest music print publisher. More than 100 arrangements never before available through the music dealer network will be added to the Hal Leonard catalog for convenient ordering.
This agreement will put great barbershop music in front of tens of thousands of music educators, who will recognize and appreciate the assurance of quality that goes with the Hal Leonard brand.
Hal Leonard and the Barbershop Harmony Society will jointly market these publications to educators through Hal Leonard's national Joy of Singing workshops and via reading sessions at select music retailers. Hal Leonard plans to reach the growing international market through its operations in Europe, Australia/New Zealand and Asia.

Gear up for summer singing
Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day -- you need a full repertoire of songs celebrating America. We have them!
"America the Beautiful", arranged by Rob Hopkins, also is offered with learning tracks.
Most of us have heard or sung Joe Liles' arrangement of "Battle Hymn of the Republic," with the tone set by the sung "brum brum" of the snares. Get the learning track and be ready to sing at memorial services andm in churches.
