Barbershop superheroes assemble!
Summer movie season is upon us, and earth's mightiest heroes face busy schedules of world-saving, web slinging, shield-throwing, demon-defeating action.

Meanwhile, in Nashville, another group of titans will combine their powers to benefit mankind, when Harmony University musters the combined strengths of passion, genius, and barbershop seventh chords to banish musical ignorance and summer time blues.

Holy harmonic halcyon, Batman! It's like the Justice League combined with the Avengers combined with the Fellowship of the Ring combined with the Three Tenors. Peruse their secret identities in our Rogues Gallery.

After you've gaped in awe at this pusillanimous pack of pulchritudinous powerhouses, skip over to the Courses page and see all Harmony University has to offer. No matter what you need to get the most from your barbershop life, you'll find it at Harmony University.

Finally, you should go ahead and register and select your courses online.

NEW RELEASE: A LOVIN' SPOONFUL OF HARMONY
What a day for a new chart

The great Mel Knight, who brought us last year's mega-hit classic barbershop  "I Don't Know Why (I Just Do)," turns to the '60s radio hit "Daydream." You know you know it; how many songs feature whistling on the bridge? Earworm warning: this groovy little number will get stuck in your head, and you will be singing it for days. Learning track by Tim Waurick, natch.

'Diaper Dans' Show Their 'Disney Side' On Main Street U.S.A.

Diaper Dans YouTubeThe good folks at the DisneyParks blog are nearly as fond as we are of barbershop's most famous ambassadors. They recently asked the critical origins question:

No matter what age, everyone seems to have a "Disney Side." That concept led us to a question: how early in their lives did the famed Dapper Dans begin honing their skills as a barbershop quartet? For years, The Dapper Dans have been favorites among Disney Parks guests for their blend of harmonies and hijinks. Whether they're in the Harmony Barber Shop or riding aboard the Main Street Trolley, the Dapper Dans provide a soundtrack like no other on Main Street U.S.A.

In honor of the famed foursome, we asked them to lend a hand in helping to train a troupe of newcomers. Today, we are pleased to present the world premiere of ... The Diaper Dans.

Chapter financial reviews and IRS Form 990s due May 15
All U.S. chapters, chapters, districts and subsidiaries (Harmony Brigades, etc.) must report to the IRS by May 15th each year. The IRS is now requiring ALL non-profits, regardless of size, to file an annual return. Failure to file a timely report can result in either financial penalties for each day a return is late or loss of non-profit status or both.

All chapters, both US and Canadian, must complete a financial review for 2013 by May 15. This is not difficult, is not an audit and merely requires a financially savvy person, other than the treasurer, to inspect your books.
