LOVE THAT PRICE!
Get FREE songs and learning tracks
Everyone loves the Free 'n' Easy Library, because all the songs on there are... well, free and easy. Download them, print them, record them, share them, do all those things you should NOT do with copyrighted works.
Since the last time you checked, we've added a song or two, Our most recent title, "You'll Never Know The Good Fellow I've Been," is a classic old-time text and musical style you're sure to love. Use it as a warm up piece, throwback piece, or standard repertoire.
BONUS: we piloted this group with the Johnny Appleseed District, and enterprising track-maker and music judge Dave Rubin made a learning track that's FREE to download. Notice how he swings the eighth notes. Try it both ways!

Hit the road for fun at a District Convention
You'll always want to attend your own District's gathering, because that's where you'll see so many of your long-time barbershop pals. Consider, too, that quirks of geography and scheduling sometimes make your neighboring district an easy drive as well. Look around; there are many new offerings at district conventions.

WHY WE BARBERSHOP
Everyone has a story to tell -- on video
"It's because I have a bunch of dads," says another. "Free pizza? I'm in," reports another. "There's always room for one more Pookie in the Society," concludes Pookie Dingle, Jr. In our 75th Anniversary year, we each have a story to tell: how we got started, why we keep doing it Catch up on a few recent additions to this ongoing video series, and add your own story. We'll compile a "best of" feature sometime in the future, to continue to share this story.

SONG OF THE WEEK
Christmas classics
This week, we go from the sublime to the ridiculous.
"Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence" is a brooding, powerful piece in minor key. This setting by Dr. Jeff Taylor has been sung by The Masters of Harmony, Nightlife, and many others.
"Do You Hear What I Hear?" is a call -and-response classic arranged by Joe Liles, who doesn't know we stole his cat for this promotional shot.

DEPT. OF "I DIDN'T KNOW THAT!"
See it all on the Society calendars
There's barbershop everywhere, folks, and if you're only seeing what's in front of you on a Tuesday nights, you're missing oodles of chances to have fun singing.
Sure, you might know about your own District convention this fall -- but what about the next district over, a mere 150 miles? You could be singing and tagging through the night, with no rehearsals in the morning! Skedaddle!
You may be working hard to establish Youth in Harmony activities in your chapter, but did you know there was an HX Camp in your own district this very month?
Get up to date: check out the many calendars of events at www.barbershop.org/calendar, including Chapter Shows, Music Education, Harmony Explosion Camps, District Conventions, Youth Harmony Workshops, and more.
Bonus for Google users: click the Google Calendar button to make these visible in your own calendar feed. Changes and additions will be updated automagically, so you'll always be up to date.
