Safekids - Parent Information/Education Night
February 1, 6:00 p.m.
SungateKids, a nationally accredited Child Advocacy Center, has created a program specific to the prevention of physical and sexual abuse. SungateKids SafeKids (SK2) was created to teach children how to keep their bodies safe. Lenski is excited to partner with these experts in this field to provide an important learning opportunity for our students, staff and parents. Children learn about the dynamics of child physical abuse and sexual abuse through the use of puppets in an age-appropriate, interactive, performance-based assembly. We will offer assemblies to our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students this year, in addition to parent and staff education about this program,

A parent information/education night will be offered on February 1, 2016 at 6 p.m. in our Media Center. SK2 will provide an overview of the program, child abuse education, resources, and provide time for questions and answers. For more details, please click here .

PLEASE NOTE: This is for parents only and no childcare will be available.

Meet Erica Fukuhara, PTO Bingo Night Coordinator
Hello! My name is Erica Fukuhara and I am organizing the Lenski Bingo Night for the first time this year.  My husband Jim and I have two children, Teya in 5th Grade and Darren in 1st at Lenski. Over the years I have enjoyed a few different volunteer roles including room parent, classroom volunteer, and running club. Outside of being a mom and volunteer, I work full-time for the University of Colorado, attend graduate school, and lead a Girl Scout troop. Life is busy, but I value the opportunity to volunteer and contribute to the school. Volunteer involvement helps to make Lenski a special, unique, and supportive place for our children to grow and develop and is a great way to support the staff in all that they do for our children.  I hope you will dust off your daubers and come prepared for an exciting night of Bingo on February 19 to help raise funds to support teacher staffing!
