Letter from the Principal regarding LPS Community Support for School Funding Legislation
Dear Lenski Parents: 
 
Although we and our respective school communities may be all over the map politically, I think there is one thing we can agree on:  how important good schools are to the future of Colorado and our country.
Our own Superintendent, Brian Ewert, is leading the charge in our state in bringing the vital issue of school funding to the top of our legislators' agenda.
Next Monday, January 11th, YOU can be part of this effort, along with community members who want to make their voices heard at the capitol.
On Monday morning, the Colorado Superintendents will release their advocacy statement at a media event in the capitol rotunda.  Let's ensure they are backed by a large and enthusiastic crowd of LPS supporters.
Meet Brian Ewert at 11:30 am at the capitol.  For those who have heard Brian give his Constitutional Entanglement presentation and wondered what the next step should be - this is it!!

The classroom that collects the most box tops from January 1 through February 12th will win a Pizza Party.  Classrooms will have their own envelope for collecting their box tops.

2016-2017 Kindergarten Registration - Informational Sessions
If you have a child who will be entering kindergarten for the 2016-2017 school year and you would like to learn more about our school and kindergarten program, please plan on attending one of our new parent orientation and open house days.  If you are in the Lenski attendance area, we recommend you attend a session at 9:30 AM or 2:00 PM on any of the following remaining dates:Kind Registration

If you live outside of the Lenski attendance area, please call the school office and schedule a one-on-one tour with the principal so that you can see students engaged in learning.

Lenski Enrichment Registrations for January 2016 Classes Available for Download!
Lenski Parents: 

A reminder the registration for most before and after school enrichment classes is still open - many classes start next week.  You can find registration forms on the Lenski website.  Please download and complete your form and return it to the providing vendor or Lenski office as directed on the form.  Please complete a form for each student for each class.  Forms are also available in the Lenski office.

Family Math Nights In 2016
 
Lois Lenski will be hosting Family Math Nights in early 2016.  The purpose of these informational nights is for parents to experience with their children the new Bridges math program that has been implemented by LPS this year.  The evening will include student demonstrations and modeling of Bridges Number Corner, Workplaces and the Bridges main math lesson.  Please join us on the following dates based on your child's grade level:

Toy Drive A Success!
Thank you Lenski community for your help on the Toy Drive. Approximately 200 new toys were delivered to Toys for Tots. All of the gently used toys were donated to the Denver Children's Advocacy Center.

Please be aware there are many programs available to families in need of support services, especially during the holiday season.  Click here to find information about programs and services offered in our community for diverse needs such as parenting resources, medical care, counseling, transportation, food/clothing, housing and legal services. Please contact the Lenski office at 303-347-4575 if you would like additional information or if you have immediate needs. All family information is kept confidential.
