Congratulations Lenski! Lenski Wins The Littleton Stride Trophy!!
|
Thanks to all students, families and faculty who represented Lenski in the Littleton Stride. It is with great pride that we announce Lenski's 8th win of the Stride trophy and an additional award of $1,000 to show the Littleton Public School Foundation's appreciation for Lenski's phenomenal support of the Littleton Stride District fundraiser over the years.
We would also like to thank the amazing leadership of the Lenski Running Club which is a fantastic way to not only encourage a healthy lifestyle in our students, but to raise awareness and encourage participation in the Littleton Stride. A special thanks to our stride captain, Kim Madden!
Classes will celebrate the Stride victory at an assembly at Lenski early next week. Recesses will be awarded to the grade level classes with the greatest percentage of Stride participation.
Thank you again Lenski for your amazing turnout at the 2015 Littleton Stride.

Meet Heather Mantel, PTO Literacy Committee Lead
|
Hi, my name is Heather Mantel and this is the first year that I am heading up the Literacy Committee. It has been very rewarding to work with the students, they are all very eager to learn and receptive to having a new face help them. I am hoping the Literacy Committee can make a real impact this year. My husband Dave and I have two daughters at Lenski, Samantha in fourth grade and Charlotte in second grade. We also have a son, Luke in PreK. Since we have been at Lenski, I have been a room parent, worked in the classrooms and helped welcome new families. These experiences have been highly gratifying and given me an even deeper glimpse into the wonderful families, teachers and students that make up our Lenski community. My girls are having great experiences so far and we feel very lucky to be part of such a wonderful school that cares so much about the success and future of all of our children.

Thanking Our Troops Campaign Coming Soon!
|

Every November, Lenski observes Veteran's Day with its Thanking Our Troops campaign. As part of this event, our school sponsors a soldier or soldiers posted overseas. Lenski's students are asked to donate snacks, treats and small games for the sponsored soldiers. The students are also asked to write letters of encouragement and support. The goal of this campaign is to brighten the spirits of our sponsored soldiers during the winter holidays, and to help Lenski's students honor the contributions of the United States military. Please check next week's LWA for a list of items to donate. We will be accepting your donations during the week of November 9-13. Thank you in advance for supporting Lenski's Thanking Our Troops campaign!
