Fab Film (This) Friday - Join In This Fun Family Event!
September 18, 6:00 pm

Get ready for Lenski's first Fab Film Friday this Friday, Sept. 18th! This event replaces what many know as "Topsy Turvy" - with many of the same fun activities, such as the cake walk and game walk, as well as new activities such as a basketball contest and corn hole and of course - a feature film, Meet the Robinsons (Rated G).  Click here to review the flyer and concession packages.

You're definitely coming!  There is still time to advance purchase for the great drawings and concession packages.  We can accept payments up through the end of TODAY!  If you advance purchase, your tickets will be waiting for you, so you can avoid the lines.

You're not sure you're coming!  We always have lots of families that show up that evening!  Not a problem!  Instead of going to SouthGlenn to sit inside with air conditioning and people you don't know, enjoy dinner (no clean up) and the outdoors with your friends at Lenski.

You can't make it!  We will miss you, but you can still enter to win drawing packages and/or contribute to the Lenksi PTO.  Check out the drawing packages and decide which items interest you!

As with all PTO events, we need volunteers and donations for the evening.  Please click here to sign-up for volunteer slots and donations.

Please note that this is a family event, so kids cannot be dropped off without adult supervision.

Blood Drive - This Friday!
Calling All Blood Donors - Please Help!

This Friday, September 18th, is Lenski's Fall Blood Drive to support Children's Hospital.  As it is expensive for Children's Hospital to bring their blood drive mobile to Lenski, they request that we fill all spots.  We have 9 spots left to fill!  Are you available September 18th to help us fill one of the remaining spots?  If so, please click here.

We still need food items!  If you would like to donate food, please click here.

For any questions about donor eligibility, please call 720-777-5398 or email donate4kids@childrenscolorado.org

Thank you for supporting this great cause!

Annual Giving Campaign -It Takes A Village

How does one teacher manage a classroom of 18-28 students and address the diversity of needs of each student?  Dr. DeSpain has found the 'golden ticket' by ensuring there is an adequate number of specialist teachers to support the classroom teachers and employ a flexible staffing plan.

Per Mrs. Holt, a 5th grade classroom teacher, "The ability for teachers to rely on specialists for support in the classroom is invaluable.  Students often need to work in small groups at their own level, whether this is for enrichment or additional support."   Although Mrs. Holt is a 5th grade classroom teacher, she also supports the 3rd graders by providing an additional math class to those 3rd grade students who can advance to 4th grade math during year.

Ms. Orcutt is a literacy specialist who works across all grades and says, "My work involves determining students optimal reading level to maximize growth in literacy. It is fantastic to help students develop a passion for this lifelong skill." She accomplishes this by working with students in small groups or one-on-one depending upon the needs of the students.

The continual process of assessing the students' academic needs and placing them in small groups or individual skill sessions takes additional resources beyond the school funding.  This is where the Lenski PTO comes in.  Our Annual Giving Campaign which runs from mid- August to October 1st requests donations from each family to support the funding for teacher salaries.  One-hundred percent of your donation goes into an overall teacher salary fund which ultimately increases Lois Lenski's salary budget allowing for the small group instruction that makes Lenski so amazing!

Our goal this year is $75,000 and we have achieved one third of that goal so far.  We know we can achieve this goal with your help. Please click here to learn about how you can make your contribution. For full details on the campaign, please review the Annual Giving Flyer

It does take a village and thank you for being a part of OUR village!
