Attention NEW LENSKI FAMILIES... please join us for the annual Lenski Ice Cream Social. To kick-off the start of the school year, the Lenski Ice Cream Social will be held on Tuesday, August 11th from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. Last year, we had over 200 new families attend this event.  It's a great opportunity to meet other new families and key members of the Lenski community, as well as help your children prepare for their first day of school at Lenski Elementary!

 

During the social, we will have tour guides on hand to provide you with a tour of Lenski. During the tour, the children will be able to gather stamps to complete a scavenger hunt of key locations within the school. In addition, we will have the wonderful K+ teachers on hand to meet the children and answer any questions regarding the K+ program that new kindergarten families may have. We will also have several members of the Lenski PTO as well as a team of Lenski parent volunteers available to answer any general questions about Lenski. And, most importantly, there will be ice cream and popsicles for all!

 

The entire family is encouraged to attend. You do not need to RSVP - just come to Lenski at your convenience anytime between 6:00-7:30 PM. If you have any questions prior to the event, please reach out to Angie Martorella and Stephanie Wilcox.

On Thursday, August 13, please plan on visiting Lois Lenski from 3:00 - 4:00 PM for our Open House for students in grades 1-5 and 2:00-3:00 PM for Kindergarten students.  At this time, your child is welcome to visit his/her classroom, meet the teacher and tour the school.  The PTO pre-packaged school supplies can also be picked up from your child's classroom.  

 

Parents will be notified prior to the Open House via email of their child's teacher assignment.

The PTO is excited to kick off the school year with our largest fundraiser of the year, The Lenski Annual Giving Campaign. We hope you will help us make this year the most successful one yet! Our goal is to collect $70,000 by October 1st and in order to reach that goal we are hoping to receive a donation between $175.00 -$200.00 per student. Remember that 100% of your donation goes directly to Lenski's specialist teachers' salaries which supports small group learning in our school.

 

Monthly donations are gladly accepted and can be arranged for any amount that is within your budget. A Corporate Match is also available for this important campaign. This year at Lenski we will begin a new process to pay for classroom fees and field trips.  Available now, you have the option to pay student fees online using a credit card through the parent portal, or you can send in payment to the Lenski Office.
Fees are due by October 1, 2015.  More information can be found  here.  

Come support Lenski in this totally tubular way!  It's an 80's themed prom party, Saturday, August 29 at 6:00 pm at the Heritage Village Upper Pool.  All ticket purchases are a donation to Lois Lenski. 

 

Dress to impress in your best 80's duds!  $35 per person. Food, Beverage and Live Music provided.

All new fun-filled family evening!  Bring a blanket to sit on the Lenski field to watch a feature film under the stars with your family and school friends.  Make new friends and catch-up with friends you haven't seen over the summer. Enjoy drawings, cakewalk, trinkets, games & dinner before the film and concessions during the film. This is a family event and kids must be accompanied by an adult.

For those families familiar with "Topsy Turvy" usually scheduled for spring, this fall event will replace it, while still incorporating some of those fun activities.

Please keep your eyes on the Lenski website for upcoming enrichment flyers. This year, Lenski will not send flyers home to all students for all enrichment classes.
