This is my fourth year volunteering at Lenski. When my kids were in kindergarten I started as co-lead for the yearbook. After that I spent two years creating and running our Lenski Annual Giving campaign. And this year I am heading up the Lenski Dinner and Auction which is coming up in less than three weeks! 

 

My husband, Dane, works in data analytics for an online advertising company and I work as a marketing strategy consultant for small companies. We'll be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary this summer. 

 

"It Starts at Lenski" is the Lenski dinner and auction on March 14 and has been the focus of my volunteer work for the past five months. I am incredibly fortunate to have a team of about 20 volunteers who have put their hearts and souls into this event to make it the absolute best event we have ever had! 

 

Let me tell you a little about what to expect. We'll start with cocktails and the silent auction at 5:30 pm. The auction features about 100 items including one-of-a-kind experiences with your kids' teachers, incredibly beautiful classroom art and other items such as massages, golf, signed sports jerseys and weekends in the mountains. From there we'll move into the ballroom for a sit down dinner. The evening will feature live entertainment and a video from Lenski alums! We'll also play Heads or Tails and host a Wine Pull. Later we'll feature a live auction with experiences such as the Rockies press box, court side for the Nuggets or a dinner party in your home with a chef! I don't want to give away too much, but the evening will be an absolute blast - you won't want to miss it!

The 6th Annual Lenski 1st Grade Hootenanny is coming! What in the world is a hootenanny, you ask? It's a gathering of friends, family, and neighbors for the purpose of social interaction, camaraderie, and fun.

WHO: All 1st grade students with their adult friends and family

WHAT: A hootenanny!

WHEN:             Mrs. Miller's and Mrs. Ryan's classes

WHERE: Lenski Gymnasium

WHY: To share with you our favorite stories, games, music, and dances that we've learned during Performing Arts classes

 

This is an interactive performance, so very few chairs will be set up in the gym in order to maximize the play area! Your 1st graders will be teaching YOU, so comfortable shoes and clothing are advised.
